Industrial Reverse Osmosis Plant may be defined as membrane technical filtration method, which involves a selective membrane that is thsi membrane do not allow large molecules or ions through the pores (holes)to pass, but allows smaller components of the solution (such as the solvent) to pass freely. Further, by applying pressure to the solution when it is on one side of a selective membrane, the solute is retained on the pressurized side of the membrane and the pure solvent is allowed to pass to the other side. Since the two streams of liquid flow side by side to each other this process is also called cross flow filtration process.
